Become an IBEW apprentice

Join the IBEW Local 234 apprenticeship program and get paid to go to school

An apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 234 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee offers men and women excellent career opportunities by training them to become highly skilled electrical workers.

IBEW Local 234 apprentices earn while they learn, which means they earn a living wage while they work and receive on-the-job training from experienced journeymen. This provides apprentices with valuable insights about their particular craft and helps them gain a thorough understanding of different aspects of their job. In addition to learning on the jobsite, apprentices also receive free, mandatory classroom instruction, where they are taught many of the fundamentals and advanced concepts they will use throughout their electrical career.

Not only do IBEW Local 234 apprentices receive a free education and earn a living wage, but they also receive excellent health insurance and retirement benefits.
